This beautiful coffee is brought to us by small family owned farms organized around the Musasa Mill, located near a gorilla habitat, in the Gakenke district in the Northern Province of Rwanda. The Dukunde Kawa Cooperative has nearly 2,000 members, of which approximately 80% are women. Members raise their standards of living by investing their earnings into livestock, programs to protect the environment and healthcare access.
We're proud to be able to brew this coffee for you and hope that you'll read up a bit more on Rwanda's past and how they've resiliently paved the way to a brighter future.
We love the tangy, crisp apple acidity, syrupy body and cacao finish. It's crazy really, that this coffee even exists! So, raise your bottle to the coffee gods, slow down and appreciate every sip, and know you're tasting something more than just cold brew coffee.
